Main Function:

Main Function:
The Cross Departmental Instructor will provide direct and ongoing supervision, instruction and support to all assigned students, while coordinating day-to-day operations of a dormitory.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide a structured and supportive dormitory environment designed to promote growth and independence through direct instruction, assessment, and modeling.
Provide academic support in a classroom/vocational setting one day a week in the role of substitute, aide, vocational or behavior support.
Meet the individual and collective needs of students based on their learning styles and social/emotional needs providing a consistent, well-supervised, productive and nurturing learning environment responsive to each student’s needs.
Utilize curriculum, best practices, and rubrics in teaching and assessing independent living skills in the areas of social skills, independent living skills, cooking, wellness, fitness, budgeting, community safety, and executive functioning.
Teach, instruct, and support students in the areas of social pragmatics, executive functioning, developing, and maintaining friendships, perspective taking, problem solving, conflict resolution stress reduction, and independent living skills.
Document and track progress of individual student goals and report in quarterly progress reports.
Support and Teach Executive Function skills in the areas of room care, time management, organization and planning within the dorm setting.
Instruct students on personal safety and boundaries, utilizing the Safety and Boundaries curriculum to teach students guidelines around; safety, boundaries, consent, self-advocacy and personal hygiene.
Ensure that parents receive regular communication as outlined in the Family Handbook and as needed. Notify parents in a timely manner of any significant and/or on-going concerns, including, but not limited to; changes in behavior, peer conflicts, breaking of school rules, etc.
Provide each assigned student with the level of direct and ongoing supervision needed to assure their safety and emotional well-being (as well as that of other students). While on duty, provide a highly visible and interactive presence, especially during out-of-dorm and off-grounds activities, and during all transitions.
Assess students on caseload with collaboration of the team to develop an individualized goal and objective. Provide instruction, support and guidance to assist students in meeting their annual goals, document process and meet regularly with students.
Provide the emotional support, safety, and physical care needed to students experiencing health or behavioral concerns. Follow procedures for handling medical emergencies.
All other duties as assigned.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a closely related field and work experience. A current valid driver’s license and CORI and Fingerprint clearance required.

Awake Overnight Monitor
Reports to:
Awake Overnight Supervisor
Main Function:
Carry out campus wide student and campus wide safety and security measures such as, visual checks on students, checking school buildings and vehicles, supporting students, reporting suspicious activity, completing basic maintenance and clerical duties.
